Marrriott International | Expansion in Central America with the Launch of its First Hotels in Nicaragua

Marriott International, Inc,. American multinational company headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland, which operates, licenses and franchises several lodging brands that include hotel, residential, and timeshare properties worldwide moves forwards with an expansion in Central America with the launch and future opening of its first hotels in Nicaragua, country of Central America set between the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea, well known for its dramatic terrain of exotic beaches,  imposing volcanoes and beautiful lakes.

This expansion is part of the strategy to introduce the company in the Caribbean and Central America markets, this time with its City Express by Marriott brand, a fast growing lodging initiative, an affordable midscale brand which demonstrated strong performance and expansion across the CALA region, which offers smart,comfortable and practical accommodations with a modern furniture design.

The new City Express hotels in Nicaragua will debut in the third quarter of 2025 with the opening of the City Express by Marriott Managua in the capital and largest city of the country, and one of the largest centres in Central America, City Express by Marriott Esteli, in Esteli, city located on the Pan - American Highway surrounded by forested mountains and boasting in its proximity splendid natural reserves, considered the heart of the country's tobacco region.

The third opening will be the City Centro by Marriott La Recoleccion located in León, the second largest city of the country after Managua, situated in western Nicaragua on the banks the Chiquito River, a centre has long been the political and intellectual centre boasting the prestigious UNAN, National Autonomous University of Nicaragua.
