Placemakr, real estate development and consulting, flexible - use hospitality and multifamily operator based in Miami, Florida, company characterized by innovative concepts and a modern vision blurring the lines between hospitality and home, has partnered with SHAC, SummerHill Apartment Communities, a development company specializing in mixed – use multifamily housing communities headquartered in Sam Ramon, California, partner of Pacific Urban Investors and a subsidiary of the Marcus and Millichap Company will open a Pop – Up hotel consisting in 109 units in Santa Clara in Silicon Valley, famed global hub for innovation and high technology in northern California, U.S.
The accommodation is Placemakr Santa Clara, located within the Lafayette Apartment building at 2333 Calle Del Mindo in Santa Clara, famous centre of Silicon Valley, home of the headquarters of important companies such as AMD, Advanced Micro Devices, Intel and Nvidia and of the emblematic Santa Clara University, the oldest university in California and it is scheduled to open on 24th February 2025.
The new property of Placemakr marks the second pop - up to launch in Northern California following a previous location in San Jose, a large city surrounded by rolling hills in Silicon Valley, major technology centre in California's Bay area.
Placemakr first launched its pop – up concept in 2017, operating a select number of units in newly constructed luxury apartment buildings as nightly suites on a temporary basis, a concept of temporary accommodation that's set up for a short time at a specific location and they can be used to trial new hotel concepts without a permanent investment offering more exclusive and immersive experience than traditional hotels.
Placemakr Santa Clara will feature a mix of one and two - bedroom units alongside amenities, including coworking and conferences spaces, indoor/outdoor lounges, a pool, a games room, EV charging stations, a pet wash station, gaming courtyard, fitness studio and a resident lounge.
The CEO and co – founder of Placemakr, Jason Fudin said that the company's pop - up experiences offer guests the unique chance to enjoy luxurious, apartment - living units on a nightly or weekly basis and it's a win - win, providing guests with spacious, high - end accommodations while bringing hospitality services to residents and a great building vibe during the initial lease – up phase.
