Minor Hotels, a renowned international owner, operator and investor founded in 1978 and headquartered in Bangkok, Thailand, a hotel group company boasting a large portfolio of establiments worlwide under several brands revealed a future NH Collection Hotel opening in Asunción, the capital and largest city of Paraguay, lively and dynamic centre stands on the eastern bank of the Paraguay River, almost at the confluence with the Pilcomayo River, one of the oldest cities in South America and considered the longest continually inhabited area in the Rio de la Plata Basin.
The future NH Collection Asunción will be part of a mixed real estate development with an estimated investment between €7.4 - 11 million, an ambitious prject carried out in partnership with Grupo Petra, a leading company in the real estate market headquartered in Asunción, a group with a philosophy of diversifying and innovating the concept of vertical living, real estate development in Paraguay.
The start of the work is scheduled for two months, and the inauguration of the hotel for 2029. The property will be integrated into a complex of more than 70 floors, which will become the tallest building in the Paraguayan capital and the fourth tallest in South America located in one of the most important avenue of Asunción.
The development will include housing offices, retail spaces and parking and the future NH Collection hotel will feature 80 guestrooms, a spa, swimming pool, restaurant and bar, terrace, heliport and meeting rooms.
The establishment will be part of NH Collection, a premium hotel brand, known for hotels boasting a unique locations in major cities and resorts, with a focus on exceptional comfort, service and facilities, offering a sophisticated and memorable experience.
The CEO of Minor Hotels Europe & Americas, Gonzalo Aguilar said that, the company is sure that with Grupo Petra, this hotel will be a benchmark in Asunción, a city with a great dynamism and a notable growth potential.
The arrival of NH Collection represents a stratregic commitment to consolidate Minor Hotels position in Paraguay and in the South American region with a differentiating product that elevates the hospitality offer in this country, and this hotel will not only be an architectural icon, but will also mark a before and after in the tourist experience in the city.
The investment in Paraguay responds to an analysis of the market, where sustained growth in corporate and leisure tourism is observed, as well as an increase in the demand for hotels in the upscale and premium categories.
The NH Collection Asunción marks Minor Hotels' first step in Paraguay, while the company continues to evaluate opportunities in secondary cities in the country and atv the same time, and the group maintaining its growth in Latin America is exploring key markets such as Argentina, Chile and Peru, as well as other consolidated and attraactive destinations in the region.
