Universal Destinations & Experiences, formerly Universal Parks & Resorts, the theme park unit of NBCUniversal, a subsidiary of Comcast, company headquartered in Orlando, Florida, U.S. operateing a global network of theme parks and resorts , known for their immersive attractions, themed areas based on movies and TV, and family – friendly entertainment confirmed that it will open its first European Theme Park im England, UK.
The location is Bedford, a market town located in the central - northern part of the County of Bedfordshire in eastern England, a centre has been attested since early medieval times, developed on the River Great Ouse, not far Luton Airport and about 80.0 kilometres from the British capital, London.
Concast, which planned to open the theme park in England in 2031, is the American group that that owns Universal Studios present in Florida and California, in the United States, in Japan, China and Singapore, but not in Europe, decided to launch this projectin the European continent, with the aim to compete with Disneyland Paris in France.
It was rumoured that Universal Destinations & Experiences could choose Spain for as the destination for this investment, the group took control of Port Aventura World, an entertainment theme park & resort in Salou and Vila - Seca in the province of Tarragona, on the Costa Daurada in Catalonia, but a few weeks ago the agreement was closed in London, officially signed.
Jurassic Park and Harry Potter are two attractions that Universal owns and that can probably be found in the future English Park, naturally as in the competition, there will be hotels and a leiure complex.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced that the agreement for this million - dollar investment will provide 28,000 jobs in construction, tourism and artificial intelligence.
