Minor Hotels, an international operator, investor and owner in the hospitality industry, a company founded in 1978 and based in Bangkok, Thailand has commenced the construction of its first Avani - branded hotel in Singapore, island country and city - state in Southeast Asia, a popular destination well known to be a blend of historical landmarks, futuristic attractions and stunning gardens and renowned for its vibrant culture, modern architecture and delicious cuisine.
The 200 - room hotel development is managed in partnership with Kajima Development, a general contractor operating nationwide and overseas based in Tokyo, Japan, specialized in the development of commercial, residential and institutional building and Al Wathba Investment, a family - owned UAE - based building and contracting company specializing in various construction services.
The property will open its doors at 24 Peck Seah Street in the bustling Tanjong Pagar, a Singapore’ central Business district part of the Greater Southern Waterfront project which aims to integrate waterfront living with other lifestyle attractions. It straddles the Outram Planning Area and the Downtown Core, offering a mix of conserved shophouses, modern skyscrapers and cultural landmarks.
Strategically positioned at less than 200 metres from the Tanjong Pagar MRT Station and approximately 350 metres from Maxwell MRT Station, this prime location allows an easy access to various attractions include Thian Hock Keng Temple, Singaporer’s oldest Hokkien temple, the NUS Baba House, a Peranakan museum, Marina Bay, and Guoco Tower, the tallest building in Singapore.
