Panama City, the capital and largest city of Panama, located at the Pacific entrance of the famous Panama Canal, a major hub for commerce, finance and culture in the region and a bustling metropolis highlighted by a blend of contemporary and historic architecture, a rich cultural scene and a vibrant atmsphere, will host the 5th Congress of Tourism and Business from 02nd to 6th October 2025.
The Panamanian capital, the country, Central America and the Caribbean with this relevant event continue to position themselves as key destinations globally.
Representatives of the tourism sector in the region are developing various initiatives that promote growth and innovation and under this vision, companies from the Dominican Republic, with the support of the Government of Panama, will organize this unique event with the objective to generate a key space where participants can update, train, develop, and attending top - level conferences.
The meeting will be attended by delegations from 18 key countries for the tourism industry, including Brazil, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Mexico, Peru, Puerto Rico, the United States and Panama as the host country.
In the congress will be addressed the following topics :
• Tourism trends in Central America and the Caribbean
• Competitiveness and innovation
• Sustainability in tourism
• Gastronomy and culture
• Inclusive tourism
The event will also see the participation of universities and colleges from several countries, which will highlight the relationship between art and tourism, promoting cultural exchange, among them the Specialized School in Hospitality and Tourism (Estur) of El Salvador and the program will include performances by a Salvadoran folkloric group.
CEO of Carmen Travel Agency (CTA) and organizer of the congress, Carmen Pichardo stated that this event seeks to update and train regional tourism actors, while promoting spaces for business generation.
Each edition a venue is chosen to make it very visible. This year it is the turn of Panama, a country boasts the appropriate infrastructure to host - large scale events. The aim of the congress is that the participants become multiplying agents of awareness and change for the new tourism scenario in the region.
