Hilton | Announced the Opening of a New Hotel Part of Its Curio Collection by Hilton in Cáceres, Spain

 Hilton Worlwide Holdings, Inc., American multinational hospitality company headquartered in Tysons, Virginia, has announced the opening of a new hotel part of its Curio Collection by Hilton in Cáceres, a city in western Spain’s Extremadura region located between the Sierra de la Mosca and the Serrilla.

 Cáceres is considered the most important centre of civil and religious architecture in the Spanish Renaissance style, with also elements of  the Italian Renaissance, but is a mixture of Flamboyant Gothic and Plateresque, encircled by 12th - century Moorish walls, boasting around 30 towers, some occupied by nesting storks and declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986.

 The opening marks the introduction of the Curio Collection by Hilton to Cáceres and is part of Hilton’s strategy expansion in key destinations in Europe.

The stylish Hotel Palacio de Godoy Cáceres is a new addition to the Hilton portfolio, hosted in the restored 16th - century Palacio de Godoy, originally built in 1563 by Conquistador Francisco Godoy,  a project developed by SCIPION Real Estate, a Spanish development and investment company, primarily known for its role in the restoration and development of historic buildings for hospitality and is a development that involved a €14 million investment and created 60 jobs.

The property is managed by Panoram Hotel Management, a multi - brand Hotel Management company pioneer in the integration of advanced models and systems for the operational management of hotel establishments with a portfolio of 20 hotels in Spain and Italy and based in Madrid.

The Palacio de Godoy Cáceres, Curio Collection by Hilton is located at Calle Gody,1 in the beating heart of the city, close to Plaza Mayor, Plazuela de Santiago and Santa Maria Cathedral, a short distance from the Torre de Bujaco tower and Arco de la Estrella offering guests an easy access to all the major attractions and landmarks of Cáceres.

BSV Arquitectos, architectural studio with offices in Madrid and Malaga, and member of the European architectural studio group Perspective managed the hotel’s architecture, while Álvaro de la Rosa designed the gardens with a landscaping incorporates native plants and American species drawing inspiration from the gardens of Lima, Peru in the 16th and 17th centuries.

The hotel features 73 comfortable rooms, the Mamay Aldana restaurant, under the guidance of Chef Antonio Manuel Céspedes Rodríguez that aims to highlight the history, tradition and flavours of Extremadura through its cuisine, the Bar Virú, a rooftop bar offering stunning views of the old city and the Extremadura countryside, a spa, and grand function rooms.

The property part of Hilton Honours, the company’s loyalty program for guests.enters into Curio Collection by Hilton brand characterized by distinctive hotels in unique locations, offering locally - inspired architecture and design, curated experiences, and world –-class food beverage, a “soft brand” thart allows individual hotels to maintain their unique identity while gaining the benefits of Hilton’s global network.
