Hilton Worldwide Holdings, Inc., unveiled plans to open a 1.275 rooms hotel in Incheon, a South Korean city bordering the capital of the country, Seoul, has long been a relevant transportation hub, known to be the first point of contact between the Korean Peninsula and the rest of the world in the 19th century, highlighted by the Open Port that showcases this cultural diversity with a nostalgic vibe, highlighed by the Yeonan Pier, close to the popular Incheon Fish Market, the starting point for many boat tours and its beach - lined islands including the captivating Yeongjong and Muui - dong.
The development is part of Hilton’s strategy to expand its presence in South Korea, a country in East Asia which is experiencing growth in its tourism tourism sector. The country welcomed over 16 million visitors in 2024, a 48.4% increase from the prior year and the fastest growth globally.
The property will be part of an integrated resort managed by INSPIRE Entertainment Resort, a grand complex comprising a variety of entertainment sites in Incheon under a franchise agreement with Hilton Hotels & Resorts and aims to attract both domestic and international visitors, contributing to the region’s appeal as a leading tourist destination.
The resort will be located on Yeongjong Island that can be accessed from the mainland via two bridges, such as Yeongjong Bridge and Incheon Bridge, an exclave of Incheon’s Jung District highlighted by beautiful beaches like Eulwangni Beach and Wangsan Beach on the west coast, the emblematic temple Yongguksa in the central part, small, picturesque villages, and suggestive farms and situated approximately 15 minutes from Incheon International Airport.
The establishment will feature three hotel towers named Forest, Sun, and Ocean, each offering a distinct interior design, 1.275 comfortable rooms, an indoor water park, a 15.000 - seat performance arena, and extensive facilities for meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE) sector.
INSPIRE Entertainment Resort will offer a variety of entertainment and recreational options, including an outdoor park, a casino, and a digital entertainment street, and the resort is designed to accommodate large - scale events and gatherings, with facilities capable of hosting up to 30.000 people.
The partnership with INSPIRE Entertainment Resort marks Hilton’s largest property in the Asia - Pacific region and continues the company’s expansion in South Korea, where it has been present since 1983.
