Reef Haven Belize has officially opened a new all - inclusive resort near the Belize Barrier Reef, the largest reef in the Northern Hemisphere, part of the Mesoamerican Reef System, the world’s second- largest after after Australia’s Great Barrier Reef, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, a natural marine paradise amidst atolls and cayes located offshore from Ambergris Caye, Belize’s largest island, famous for its idyllic Caribbean beaches, clear waters, famed dive and snorkeling sites at the Hol Chan Marine Reserve, with an abundance of sea life, and the 124m - deep Great Blue Hole.
The resort features 55 one and two - bedroom suites with garden or oceanfront views, and a three - bedroom oceanfront penthouse.
The property offers various dining venues serving locally inspired cuisine such as Salt & Stone, Driftwood Grill and Ember Yard, as well as options for vegan, vegetarians, and gluten - free diners, and several bars, including a swim - up bar, and offers in room dining.
Amenities at the resort include two swimming pools, a fitness gym, and a spa offering treatments that incorporate local cultural elements.
Guests can enjoy diverse activities such as guided snorkel excursions to the nearby reef, sunrise guided meditation, yoga sessions, culinary demonstrations, and cultural experiences including Garifuna Drumming, a vibrant tradition characterized by African - inspired percussion, with the use of specific handmade drums with a distinctive buzzing sound aesthetic, polyrhythms, and an interactive dynamic between drummers, singers, and dancers.
