The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) | Unveiled Plans to Open a New Ginger Hotel at Mumbai Airport Terminal 2, India

The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), a hospitality company part of Tata Group and based in Mumbai, has unveiled plans to open a new Ginger Hotel in Mumbai, also known as Bombay, the capital city of the Indian state of Maharashtra, a densely populated centre on India’s west coast with a melting pot of communities and cultures, a financial hub home of Mumbai Stock Exchange, Bollywood,  Indian Film Industry, and  highlighted by trendy cafes and fine restaurants and a very vibrant atmosphere.

The hotel will be situated at Terminal 2 of Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Mahraj International Airport (CSMIA), the second - busiest airport in India in terms of total and international passenger traffic after Delhi, located in Andheri, roughly 8 km north of the city centre.

For this project IHCL signed an agreement with Hazoor Multiprojects Private Limited, a quality EPC contracting company engaged in the field of realty, infrastructure and real estate development based in Mumbai.

This expansion is part of the Indian Hotels Company Limited’s strategy to increase its presence in major transit hubs across India.

The development aims to cater to both business and leisure travellers, providing convenient access to one of India’s busiest airports.

The new hotel will be part of a mixed - use development that includes retail and commercial spaces and will feature 200 rooms, an all - day dining restaurant called Wmin, a bar, a fitness centre and meeting rooms.

The property will join the midscale brand Ginger Hotels, characterized to offer modern comfort, seamless service, contemporary, and vibrant spaces designed to cater to work and leisure requirements.

The addition of this hotel will bring IHCL’s total number of properties in Mumbai to 14, with two more under development

The Indian Hotels Company Limited already has Ginger hotels located at airports in Bengaluru, Kollata, MOPA Goa, and near airports in Nagpur and Coimbatore.

Note: The timeline for the hotel’s opening has not been disclosed.
