Ambrose Daytona, a new 50 - room boutique hotel has opened its doors in Daytona Beach Shores, a lively coastal city on a barrier island in Volusia County, Florida, U.S.

Daytona Beach Shores offers a laid back residential alternative to neighbouring Daytona Beach, boasting 8.8 kilometres of pristine, often traffic - free sandy beaches, numerous oceanfront condos, highlighted by the 1.000 - foot Sunglow Pier for dining and fishing, picturesque sunrises over the Atlantic and sunsets over the Halifax River, and a dozen parks featuring pickleball, tennis, and playgrounds, among them Frank Rendon Park with its boardwalk, and various beach access points. 

The hotel is owned by Louis S. Caiola, Graham Jones, and Gregory Jones. GRJ LLC, a vertically integrated Manhattan-– based owner/developer/operator focused on acquiring multi - family and mixed use assets is the project’s development partner.

The property is part of a brand with plans to expand across Florida, focusing on coastal towns from St. Augustine to New Smyrna Beach.

This oceanfront boutique hotel is located at 3247 S Atlantic Avenue in an area locally known as “The Shores” situated at the southern end of Daytona Beach, 100 metres from Fornari Park and 800 metres from Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse and Museum, approximately 20 minutes by car from Daytona Beach Airport (DAB) and about one hour and 15 minutes from Orlando International Airport (MCO).

Ambrose Daytona is hosted in a three - story structure originally built in the 1960s. The building’s exterior remains unchanged, while the interior has undergone extensive renovations. Upgrades include a new seawall, pool deck, and parking lot, along with new decorative railings, landscaping, and lighting.

Ambrose Daytona provides 50 comfortable rooms and suites, featuring two categories of accommodations: Queen rooms averaging 325 square feet, and King Family Suites ranging from 325 to 500 square feet, with a custom colour palette and featuring murals by local artist Chris Nebel.  Some rooms include kitchenettes and full ocean views and amenities include diffusers, room sprays, and bath products scented with Apotheke White Vetiver.

The hotel offers a poolside café called The Counter, which serves light refreshments, wine, beer, and coastal fare, and an outdoor swimming pool with loungers and day beds. The property accepts pets under 30 pounds for an additional fee and is fully ADA - compliant.

An adjacent wellness studio, Ambrose Daytona Wellness Studio, is scheduled to open in summer 2025. The 1.200 - square - foot facility will offer yoga, aesthetician treatments, holistic massages as well as surf lessons, and will be led by Wellness Coordinator Paige Jagger. The studio will be available to both hotel guests and the local community.
