Hilton Worldwide Holdings, Inc., American multinational hospitality company based in Tysons, Virginia, has officially opened an 80 - room hotel under the Tapestry Collection by Hilton in Kigali, the capital, largest city, and province - level administrative unit of Rwanda, located in the centre of the country on the Ruganwa River, sprawling across numerous hills, ridges, and valleys, and boasting a vibrant restaurant and nightlife scene.
The opening of the Zaria Court Kigali, Tapestry Collection by Hilton marks the brand’s first property in Rwanda and is part of Hilton’s broader strategy to expand its presence in Africa. In addition the company has announced plans to increase its portfolio on the continent in the coming years.
The property is located at KG 17 Avenue, in Kigali Sports City, a 4 - minute walk from Stade Amahoro stadium, 9 minutes by foot from BK Arena, two major sports venues, and 2.1 km from Rwanda Development Board and Kimironko Market.
The hotel is positioned to serve a variety of guests, including business travellers, sport teams, and leisure visitors. Its location within a mixed - use sports and entertainment development provides direct access to retail spaces, event facilities, a community basketball court, and a five – a side football pitch.
Zaria Court Kigali, Tapestry Collection by Hilton’s design incorporates locally crafted artwork and has achieved EDGE certification for eco - friendly features.
The hotel features 80 comfortable room, F&B options include MANSELA’s All day - Dining restaurant, the ANUVO lobby bar, the SOLIA pool bar, the JARO rooftop lounge, and the sports bar featuring 19 large screens and offering African - inspired cuisine.
Additional facilities include a heated pool, and meeting and event spaces. The establishment’s event facilities can accommodate up to 60 guests in theatre - style seating and up to 120 people for cocktail receptions.
Future plans for the property include rotating art installations, cultural programming, and expanded partnerships with local entrepreneurs through the hotel’s retail spaces.
The hotel joins the Tapestry Collection by Hilton brand characterized by independent hotels uniquely designed and reflecting the local culture and environment, offering guests an authentic and memorable experience, known for their vibrant design and excellence in service.
As part of the Tapestry Collection by Hilton the new hotel now participates in the Hilton Honors loyalty program, allowing guests to earn and redeem points during their stays.
