IHG Hotels & Resorts, British multinational hospitality company based in Windsor, Berkshire, England, UK has officially opened a new Kimpton hotel in Pacific Grove, a captivating city situated on the southern edge of Monterrey Ba on the Pacific Ocean, along the Central Coast of California in Monterrey County.
Pacific Grove lies on a beautiful coastal stretch on the sinuous Monterey Peninsula, offering breathtaking views of the ocean, surf, and more than 105 secluded acres of scenic forest and sand dunes, a centre which has been called “Burtterfly U.S.A.”, “The Most Romantic City in the U.S.”, “A Dreamy California Destination”, as well as an idyllic place to get married, to honeymoon or just hang out.
The Kimpton Mirador Pacific Grove Monterey by IHG is located at 150 Fountain Avenue, among historic homes, 800 metres from the Pacific Ocean, just a splash away from Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History, Lover’s Point Beach, the Coastal Recreational Trail, and other local landmarks including Monarch Grove Sanctuary and Point Pinos Lighthouse.
The architecture of this boutique hotel is described as Spanish Revival - inspired, and the interiors were designed by Narrative Design Studio, an interior design firm based in San Francisco, focusing on residential and boutique hospitality projects.
The four - story property also includes curated artwork from regional artists and feaures 99 comfortable rooms and suites, some with private balconies and select suites with fireplaces.
The hotel’s on - site restaurant, The Caledonian, opened alongside the property is led by Chef Aaron Rayor, offeroing a modern American menu with seasonal, locally sourced ingredients.
The restaurant serve breakfast from 7.00 a.m. to 11 a.m. and dinner from 4 p.m. top 9 p.m. The bar operated Sunday through Thursday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., and until 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Daily happy hours are held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The property provides Kimpton’s standard morning coffee service and an evening social hour with cocktails and light bites.
Amenities at the hotel include a firelit courtyard, a fitness studio, in - room yoga mats, wellness kits, pet friendly accommodations, complimentary bicycles, and meeting and event spaces.
Kimpton Mirador Pacific Grove Monterey by IHG also offers daily wellness programming in partnership with Monterey Bay Moves, which includes yoga, sound baths, and fitness sessions.
The property joins the Kimpton by Hilton brand characterized by hotels known for their boutique style, focusing on unique design, often incorporating local art and culture to create a distinctive environment, and highlighted by personalized service, and an immersive atmosphere.
The hotel joins other recent Kimpton hotel openings, including Kimpton Naluria Kuala Lumpur, Kimpton Tsim Tsui Hong Kong, and Kimpton KAFD Riyadh.
