Hilton | Planning to Open its First Standalone Waldorf Astoria Branded Residences in Mexico, Located in Guadalajara

Hilton Worldwide Holdings,Inc., American multinational hospitality company based in Tysons, Virginia is planning to open its first standalone Waldorf Astoria branded residences in Mexico, located in Guadalajara, the capital and the most populous city in the western Mexican state of Jalisco.

Guadalajara known as the “Pearl of the West” is a vibrant blend of traditional Mexican culture, mariachi, tequila, charreria, and modern city life, highlighted by a stunning colonial - era architecture,  UNESCO site Hospicio Cabañas with murals by Orozco, a bustling historic centre with five main plazas, the massive San Juan de Dios market and other landmarks such as the neoclassical Teatro Degollado and its Cathedral highlighted by twin gold spires.

For the opening of Waldorf Astoria Residences Guadalajara, Hilton has signed an agreement with Grupo Imobilario GFA, a real estate developer, with more than 50 years in the national and international market headquartered in Lomas Altas, Mexico City, marking the debut of the brand in Mexico, the Caribbean, and Latin America, with delivery expected in Winter 2029.

The property will be located at Avenida Empresarios, 339, in Puerta de Hierro, Gudalajara’s most prestigious district, developed on a plot of over 2000 square metres in the Zapopan area, contributing to the vertical densification that has reshaped Guadalajara.

The project is planned as a 30 - story tower reaching 128 metres in height, architecture is by Gensler, a global design and architecture firm headquartered in San Francisco, California, U.S.

The design is inspired by the local context of Jalisco and  the interiors will be developed by Cuaik Architects, a leading architecture and design firm based in Mexico City .

The complex will include 114 private residences ranging from one to four bedrooms, and over 3.000 square metres of amenities including a lounge, coffee bar, outdoor pool and jacuzzi, sports bar, residents’ kitchen, library, cinema, children’s playroom, kids’ playground, pet park, fitness centre, yoga studio, spa, massage rooms, sky bar, and fire pit.

 The property will join the Waldorf Astoria Brand, which features a sense of “place” that reflects local culture, excellence in service, and the presence of luxurious amenities, combined with stunning architecture, curated art, and fine dining, providing unique and memorable experiences.

The Waldorf Astoria Residences Guadalajara is part of Waldorf Astoria’s branded residential portfolio, which includes 29 properties operating or in the pipeline globally. The residences are not owned, developed or sold by Hilton Worldwide Holdings, Inc. The developer uses the Waldorf Astoria brand name and trademarks under a limited, nonexclusive, and non - transferable license from Hilton.
