Hyatt Hotels Corporation, American multinational hospitality company based in Chicago, Illinois has entered into a management agreement with Brigade Hotel Ventures Limited (BHVL), the second - largest owner of chain – affiliated hotels in South India among major private hotel asset owners hedquartered in Bengaluru, and BCV Developers Private Limited, a subsidiary of the Brigade Group for the development of two hotels located in Bengaluru and Chennai.
This move marks a significant step in Hyatt Hotels Corporation’s portfolio expansion within India’s growing hospitality market with the planned Hyatt House Bengaluru Devanalli and Grand Hyatt Chennai ECR properties.

Hyatt House Bengaluru Devanahalli: The property will be located in Bengaluru , the capital and largest city of the southern Karnataka Indian state, situated near the centre of the Deccan Plateau. Bengaluru known as the “Garden City” due to its parks and greenery boasts a rich cultural and historical heritage visible in sites like Bangalore Palace, modelled after England’s Windsor Castle, Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace, an 18th - century teak structure, and Old Dungeon Fort & Gate.
The hotel is a greenfield development planned to open in 2027 will be located about 20 minutes from Kempegowda International Airport and major business developments will serve the Devanahalli tecch corridor, which includes upcoming IT Parks, the Aerospace Science Park and the planned Financial City.
Positioned as a services apartment property, the Hyatt House Bengaluru Devanahalli will feature 135 units for both extended and short - term stays. Amenities will include an - all day restaurant, a bar, a swimming pool, a fitness centre, and meeting spaces.
The establishment will join Hyatt House, an upscale, select - serviced extended stay brand by Hyatt designed for long - term travellers and short stays, blending home - like comfort with hotel conveniences. They feature apartment - style rooms with full kitchens and separate living areas, commonly located in urban, airport, and college settings.
Grand Hyatt Chennai ECR: The hotel will be located in Chennai, a relevant Indian city formerly known as Madras, the capital and largest city of Tamil Nadu, the southernmost state of India located on the Coromandel Coast of the Bay of Bengal. Chennai boasts a rich cultural and historical heritage, higlightedc by a large number of temples and religious sites and it is a relevant outpost and trade hub in South Asia, facts that have often led to it being called “ the Cultural capital of India” and "the Gateway to South India”.
Scheduled to open in 2029, Grand Hyatt Chennai ECR will be the first hotel developed by Brigade Hotel Ventures in collaboration with Hyatt Hotels Corporation.
The property is intended to cater to leisure and business travellers, with facilities designed for events and group bookings and will be located on a beachfront site on India’s southeastern coast.
The hotel is planned to feature approximately 200 rooms, five dining venues including a signature restaurant, two specialty restaurants, a pool bar, a lobby lounge, wellness facilities and multiple event spaces.
