LUX* Lake Kivu - The property is a 14 - key retreat located in Rwanda’s Western Region within the Albertine Rift Valley at the shores of Lake Kivu, the country’s largest body of water covering roughly 2.370 km², featuring the massive Idjwi Island, the world’s tenth - largest inland island, lying at an elevation of 1.463 metres, with a maximum depth of 485 metres, its warn, clear waters are entirely free of crocodiles and hippos, making them safe for kayaking, paddleboarding and swimming.
