Argentina | Inbound Tourism is Showing More than Positive Signs in Summer

 

Argentina, second largest country of South America situated between the Andes mountains range and the Atlantic Ocean through its inbound tourism is showing more than positive signs in summer.

Looking ahead the summer months, more than 113.000 air reservations were registered through travel agencies to visit Argentina between 1st December 2024 and 31st March 2025 and this means 22.5% more than in the same period of the previous season.

Every year's end in the southern hemisphere and more precisely in Argentina, the sun shines, the temperature rise day by day, there are excellent climatic conditions to visit the South American country and for the summer season international arrivals are looking good.

This perspective is marked by 113.569 air ticket reservations through online and traditional travel agencies made by world travellers to visit Argentina.

When thinking about the reason to visit Argentina, 81.2%, about 92.208 tourists will do so to spend their vacations, while 18.2% approximately 20.726 travellers will take the plane to do business.

Currently the most chosen month was December with 62.493 passengers, 19.9% more than in the same month of 2023 and for its part for January there are 25.239 travellers, 19.7 more than in same month of 2024, in February 16.077, 20.2% more than in the same month of 2024 and in March 9.760, 59.1% more than in the same month of 2024.

The five markets that lead the ranking were the United States of America with 24.262 reservations followed by Brazil with 15.686, Spain 11.434, Chile 8.946 and Italy 7.279. In turn they carried out their reservations, 163, 109, 111, 72 and 114 days in advance, respectively.

Cuba | The Ministry of Tourism Launched its Events Portfolio for 2025

 

Cuba, through the Ministry of Tourism launched its events portfolio for for 2025 at Tropicana, iconic club situated in the capital of the country Habana, a calendar which promises a year full of unique experiences, with the development of an important group of internationally recognized appointments that cover the areas of culture, science and technology, social sciences, sports, education, health and tourism among others.

The Ministry's Director of Events Yanet de Armas, presented the portfolio that seeks to position Cuba as a destination for the development of MICE meetings, incentives, conferences and events tourism,  considering the excellent conditions that the country boasts.

Thus, pillar facilities of MICE tourism in the country have been recognized such as the Palco hotel in the capital Havana and the Plaza América Convention Center in Varadero, famed destination in the province of Matanzas.

The nine events of resonance that make the calendar of the Cubasol Business Group, entrepreneurial group composed of important agencies and enterprises related to the Tourism industry and its integrated companies are included and among the most outstanding events in FITCuba 2025 there are the International Tourism Fair, which will be held in Havana and will be dedicated to China.

Guatemala | Opened its Doors To Cruise Tourism in 2025

 

Guatemala, Central American country south of Mexico, land highlighted by ancient Mayan sites, rainforests and volcanoes on 1st January 2025 opened its doors to cruise tourism at the Port of Quetzal, Guatemala'a largest Pacific Ocean port for both cargo traffic and a as a stop point for cruise liners receiving the cruise ship Nautica, the first to arrive in the Central American country in 2025.

The company Portuaria Quetzal, providing mooring, unmooring, use of doxk, tugboat service, anchoring, navigation aids, transportation and other towing services, in charge of managing the arrival of the cruise ship explained that after passing through Guatemala, the Náutica, continued its route to Acapulco, famed city and port on Mexico's Pacific coast, well known for its stunning beaches,  golf courses and nightlife, leaving a trail of cultural exchanges and strengthening the image of Guatemala as a word – class tourist destination.

Cruise tourism has grown significantly in the Central American country, positioning Guatemala as a favourite destination, already in 2023 it was considered the best cruise site on Central America according to Porthole Cruise and Travel Magazine.

INGUAT, the Guatemalan Institute of Tourism stressed that the most visited destinations by passengers include Antigua Guatemala, Lake Atitlán, archaelological sites such as Iximché and Quiriguá, beaches of unique beauty such as Amatique Bay Rio Dulce, Castillo de San Felipe and Monterrico.

In addition,the Institute of Tourism of Guatemala, celebrated this event by highlighting the activities that tourists carried out during their stay such as visits to coffee farms, cultural tours and beaches visits, among other destinations.
