Morocco - Record Incoming Flows | 5.9 Million Visitors in Five Months

 

Great data in terms of incoming flows for Morocco with a significant increase of tourists who visited the Maghreb country, as many as 5.9 million in the first five months of 2024, numbers 15% higher than the previous year.

Morocco has invested 8,000 million dollars in 2023 to relaunch its inbound tourism sector, as confirmed by the Minister of Tourism, and these important figures are very positive signs for the rest of the year.

The Moroccan Minister then declared with great satisfaction the ever-growing interest of international brands of great importance in investing in Morocco and the results are very eloquent.

These investments in Morocco are essential to accelerate and expand further investments, especially with regard to tourist accommodation offers.

Another point on which the Minister has commented is the focus on the creation and development of regional enterprises designed in a particular way for small and medium-sized enterprises.

The "Go Siyaha" initiative focuses on strengthening the support of about 1,700 companies dedicated to tourism throughout the country and that the main goal for the sector is to receive 26 million tourists by 2030.

To achieve this goal, the country has implemented the 2023-2026 roadmap, a three-year program supported by a budget of $6.1 billion.

According to the very promising results, the Minister then underlined that in the roadmap the country will focus on new approaches to tourism offering, giving high priority to the immersive experiences of tourists in nine thematic areas and five cross-cutting domains.

This positive momentum according to the Minister will continue throughout the summer season having meticulously planned and developed air travel options, promotions, hospitality experiences to welcome visitors giving them a unique and exceptional service in Moroccan territory.
