easyHotel, hospitality group with headquarters in London, originally founded by Stelios Haji – Ioannou through easy group, has announced an upcoming opening of a hotel in Madrid scheduled for spring 2025, bringing to seven hotel units in Spain.
The British hotel group known for offering a range of affordable hotels but with a philosophy based on comfort and functionality and low carbon emissions has announced the acquisition of a hotel that will be the second in the Spanish capital after the opening at the end of 2022 in franchising of the easyHotel Centro Atocha.
The newly opened hotel is located in the district of San Blas – Canillejas in Miguel Fleta street, a residential and industrial suburb of Madrid bordering the districts of Hortaleza and Barajas through the Avenida de America first and then with the A2 Autovia del Nordeste, an urban area that has seen exponential growth and modernization in the last 20 years, becoming a hub for numerous IT and technology companies.
The excellent connections with the metro station just a 5-minute walk away make this hotel a great option for business and leisure travellers, allowing you to reach the centre of Madrid in less than 30 minutes.
The project was developed by Redentum Partner who successfully completed a turnkey sale to easyHotel under the advice of Colliers.
.The hotel is already under construction and has been built into what was previously an office block, as part of the project, the building's energy infrastructure has been completely renovated with modern low-carbon initiatives such as the installation of an aerothermal hot water system, solar panels and a battery management system.
The hotel will provide 94 innovative low-carbon rooms designed with recycled and sustainable materials, intelligently designed to optimize space, as well as the foundations of the brand's comfort ensuring guests have everything they need for a good relaxation with 4-star mattress, air conditioning and blackout curtains.
At guests' disposal there will be a restaurant where breakfast will be served, an outdoor terrace to serve continental and buffet breakfasts free of disposable plastic, a parking lot with a capacity of over 30 vehicles, spaces with electric chargers.
In Spain easyHotel has the Hotel Madrid Centro Atocha, the Hotel Barcelona Fira and Malaga to which will be added the future developments planned in Alicante, Barcelona Meridiana and Valencia in the coming years a confirmation of a desired brand expansion in the iberian country.
Outside the Iberian Peninsula, easyHotel has grown further with a fourth hotel opened in Switzerland in Zurich and one in France in Marseille which will open at the end of the year, bringing the total number of hotels belonging to the brand in Europe to 49 with the future opening in Madrid.
