The well-known group Hotel Collection The Resident, with properties in London and Liverpool, specialized in the opening hotels in Great Britain in urban neighbourhoods meticuosly chosen to offer unique guest experiences will open its first hotel in Scotland in the beautiful city of Edinburgh on 1st September 2024 under the name The Resident Edinburgh.
This facility has been redeveloped and repurposed from the former HM Revenue and custom office.
A glass recycling solution from Arup is a 1st project in Great Britain with 10 tonnes of glass from the building's façade being returned to glass manufacturer NSG Pilkington which has resulted in savings of 12 tonnes of virgin raw materials and more than five tonnes of avoided CO2 emissions during new glass production.
The Resident Edinburgh provides 164 well-appointed rooms and suites equipped with a mini kitchen in every room, a Nespresso coffee machine, Molton Brown toiletries, GHD towel dryers and a 50-inch UHD TV.
Guests will have exclusive offers at local bars, restaurants and gyms and the hotel's breakfast partner will be The West End Brasserie.
The Resident Edinburgh has entered into other partnerships including Dulse, Kyloe, Cairngorm coffee, attractions such as The Real Mary King's Close, Pickering's at Summerhall and Royal Yacht Brittannia.
