Corinthia Hotels Limited,well-known hotel group with its headquarter in Floriana – Malta, in collaboration with Reuben Brothers, leader in private equity, real estate, investment and development group, have announced the opening of The Surrey in NYC.
It’s an inaugural adventure in the United States of America, reinventing an iconic establishment on the Upper East Side, an elegant residential area of New York, a neighborhood in the borough of Manhattan known for its trendy restaurants and brand-name stores along Madison Avenue characterized by a mix of classic brownstone houses and upscale high-rises.
The original The Surrey was first built in 1926 as a residential hotel and is located on the corner of the living Madison Avenue and the bustling East 76th Street and in its new iteration as the Corinthia Hotel will include a range of amenities for both visitors and New Yorkers alike.
The hotel provides 70 rooms and 30 suites designed by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio LTD internationally acclaimed interior architecture and design group based in London and New York, including four themed suites inspired by the briges of central Park.
At guests' disposal is Casa Tua, The Surrey's F&B partner, which offers a restaurant and lounge along with the Club, an exclusive private area for members, Surrey Spa featuring Sisley Paris consisting of two treatment rooms, Turkish bath, sauna, sensory shower, salt relaxation room and fitness center.
The Surrey boasts an art collection curated by Paris-based Visto displaying works by established and emerging New York artists.
The hotel also features a collection of 14 private residences located above the hotel that offer owners exclusive access to The Surrey's rooftop terrace, an intimate space that has been transformed into a verdant private oasis which took inspiration by an English cottage garden.
As important note the Hotel accepts bookings for stays starting from 1st September 2024.
