Turismosicuro is the new portal launched by Aeo the European Hospitality Association, an anti-scam platform developed in collaboration with the non-hotel network Abbac which aims to protect travelers from scams and the danger of ghost holiday homes, marks its debut.
This new platform hosts only accommodation having a regional and national identification code, putting customers and hosts in direct contact with who have a profile with description, photo and contacts.
The coordinator of Aeo Abbac Agostino Ingenito explained that the main purpose of this new platform is to protect travelers and accomodation in good standing to avoid risks of running into scams in the choice of holidays and using a way that allows to disintermediate.
Turismosicuro.it allows each traveler to directly contact the service provider who has an ad has been verified by the portal and that meets the strict parameters of certification.
In addition the portal also has the advantage of saving the traveler by not having commission costs and deals directly with the provider.
The platform does not want to compete with booking portals,Turismosicuro is aligned with the European Dac7 directive and does not carry out any intermediation between the parties but limits itself to guaranteeing the true data, identification codes of accommodation facilities and thus providing the opportunity for travelers to avoid scams.
As further note accomodation registered on the platform are also covered by an insurance policy for civil liability towards third parties.
