The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba has announced the implementation of a new electronic system for the management of tourist visas named eVisa.
The primary objective of this system is to offer a more agile and efficient system to users who apply for tourist visas through Cuban consular offices abroad.
The eVisa initiative will allow applicants to start the visa process from virtually any internet-connected device, greatly simplifying the bureaucratic process and in terms of time needed to acquire documentation.
The aforementioned platform eliminates the need to submit additional documents, which not only facilitates the process for users but also contributes to the protection of the environment.
The eVisa has been highlighted by the Ministry of the Caribbean country for its ease of use and its ability to strengthen security and efficiency at all stages of the tourist visa process, from the initial application to border control.
Technological advancement helps to modernize the consular system, adapting to current needs, consequently improving the traveler's experience.
To apply for a visa via eVisa, users will need to have a valid passport and provide a valid email address where they will receive the visa code once their application has been processed.
As regards the time limits, applicants will receive a reply within 72 working hours of sending the application.
