Hotel occupancy in the Belluno Dolomites has exceeded 90% according to what was stated by the President of Federalberghi Belluno Dolomiti Walter de Cassan in an intervention reported by the Gazzettino.
A considerable demand comes from international tourists, a large slice of this market comes from North America, Asia and European countries, a significant flow that has increased bookings that has changed the trend given that for summer holidays and in particular in August the Belluno Dolomites were purely a preferential destination for national tourists.
The summer weather conditions with the city heat pushes tourists to the mountains, families are willing to make a few more economic sacrifices than in August 2023 given the increase in prices that generally involves the services of holiday resorts.
The President of Federalberghi Belluno Dolomiti then declared that hotel price increases are between 5 and 10% compared to 2023, not affecting the average stay which even in August can be quantified in an average of 3/4 overnights and a little more as regards the stays of international tourists who have a greater spending capacity with a demand purely aimed at 3/4 star category hotels.
The Italian market behaves differently according to the trend that has been pretty common for several years, it has a tendency to wait for the last minute offer, often consulting online platforms and then calling the accommodation facility requesting any discounts.
The Paris 2024 Olympic event could be associated with the 2026 Winter Olympics to be held in Cortina d'Ampezzo and consequently interest is rising upwards in terms of interest for this summer season.
The word Olympics has always been one of the most vogue and well-known in the world, and catalyzes great interest and in the Parisian Olympics in the closing ceremony there will be the passing of the baton Paris – Milan – Cortina, an event that will automatically put the territory in the spotlight of the international stage.
