Palazzo Castelluccio – Noto | Historic Palace in Sicily will Become a Luxury Hotel by Rocco Forte Collection

Palazzo Castelluccio, one of the most important and historic noble palaces in Noto, in the province of Syracuse, rebuilt in neoclassical style at the end of the 18th century for the Di Lorenzo family, the Marquises of Castelluccio, about six years after its opening, closes to tourist visits to become in the future a luxury hotel of the British hotel group based in London Rocco Forte Hotels.

The building had been purchased by the French entrepreneur Jean Jacques Remilleux, who had also become an honorary citizen of Noto, had taken over the building by restoring it, obtaining a private wing and had returned it to the local community.

The Palace, which has hosted various private events and starred as the set of Joe Wright's film Cyrano, had become a tourist destination for numerous tourists since 2018 and is now preparing to be transformed into a luxury 5-star hotel by Rocco Forte Hotels.

A post on the social page of the palace informs that from today Palazzo Castelluccio will close definitively thanking visitors and partners for helping this place to become special, a message that sanctions the definitive transition to the British hotel company that will give life to high-level hospitality in this Sicilian centre.
