Aerolinee Siciliane, airline based in Sicily poised to make significant strides in improving mobility for residents and visitors of the Mediterranean island founded by Luigi Crispino who previously founded Air Sicilia takes a step forward to realize the dream of the entirely Sicilian airline in becoming operational.
In recent days, in fact, a new share capital increase has been subscribed to Aerolinee Siciliane which thus brings the availability to € 1.1 million and which allows the disbursement of the first tranche of the loan that brings the liquidity of the company to € 4.0 million.
The airline company which has the aim to serve the inhabitants of the Italian island by providing easy connections from Sicily to the rest of Italy and Europe at affordable prices, has now as primary goal to be able to reach the start of plans for flight operations by May 2025.
In a note, the group said that the benefits for the community include special rates for students and people over 65, controlled prices for those who are treated outside Sicily and solidarity funds to support young students from needy families.
The commitment of the company with widespread and fractional capital is aimed at guaranteeing an accessible air transport service for all Sicilians, including 5% of the seats intended for needy users free of charge.
