Every year, according to statistics, tourism in the Nayarit area is also increasing thanks to the strategic location of Licenciado Gustavo Diaz International Airport, the 7th busiest airport in Mexico.
The airport is located on the Pacific Coast 7.5 kilometres from the city of Puerto Vallarta and 10.0 kilometres from the destination of Nuevo Nayarit in the Bay of Banderas in the Jalisco region permitting a very easy connection to the local tourist hotspots and receiving thousands of tourists every year who come to enjoy wide tourist spaces with clean beaches accessible to all families for their calm waters.
The Chief of the Ministry of Tourism of the State of Nayarit Juan Enrique Suárez del Real Tostado also highlighted the importance of tourism as a driver of the economy of the Mexican state which has developed significant improvements in terms of accessibility.
The construction of the highways and the expansion of the Amado Nervo airport that serves the metropolitan area of the capital Tepic and the entire state of Nayarit is another important hub that allows quick access to more people to enjoy the warm waters of the local beaches, the hotel infrastructure that the area boasts and the excellent gastronomy that the restaurants of Riviera Nayarit offer to all visitors.
