The act signed between the two countries formalizes the commitment of the regions to contribute to the promotion and development of river tourism routes, giving priority to sustainability, accessibility and the strengthening of both local economies.

This agreement also seeks to transform river tourism into a key source of income for both communities by exploiting the geographical position around the rivers and promoting cultural and social integration between Paraguay and Argentina.

The infrastructure improvements are not only intended to benefit tourists, but will also be able to boost trade and strengthen the economies of Corrientes and Ñeembucú.
