Bogotá – Colombia | "Bogotá tu Casa", Tourist Campaign to Show the City's New Face to the World

 

Bogotá , Colombia's high - altitude capital, one of the largest cities in the world, located at the centre of the country in the region known as Bogotá Savannah in the eastern Cordillera of the Andes, sprawling and vibrant city which features superb, colonial era - landmarks, such as the suggestive La Candelaria, its suggestive cobblestoned core,  the neoclassical Capitol next to the huge and lively square Plaza Bolivar, launches the campaign "Bogotá tu casa" – "Bogotá your home" trying to fascinate and awaken sensations, emotions, vibrations and confidence of residents and tourists by opening its doors with all its charm and attractiveness showing the city's new face to the world.

This campaign is led by the "Instituto Distrital del Turismo", affiliate member of the UNWTO, World Tourism Organization which promotes the comprehensive development and economic strengthening of the city, through tourism and a social and economic integrator of environmental impact in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce of Bogotá, Invest Bogotá, investment promotion agency for Bogotá, aimed to facilitate relevant international investments and attract world - class meetings and events and the Office of the Mayor of Bogotá in a work of co-creation and effective articulation for a commitment to the development and competitiveness of the city.

The campaign was promoted during the COP16, the conference of the parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity in front of hundreds of visitors who recognized some of the main features and opportunities offered by the capital of Colombia for tourists, businessmen and investors, event celebrated in in Cali, relevant and vibrant city, capital of the Valle del Cauca department, the most populous city in southwest Colombia.

The event, the largest biodiversity summit in the world gave the opportunity to the Colombian capital to show all its attractiveness at the Casa de Bogotá and the Chamber of Commerce of the city located in Bulevar del Rio with protagonist an artistic intervention of large-format graffiti inspired by the landscapes and ecosystem of the Colombian capital.

In the presentation of the campaign in the event, the stand of the Colombian capital introduced a digital photographic exhibition entitled "Bogotá, a destination rich in biodiversity" a sample of 16 of the capital's main green and conservation attractions, such as its wetlands, trails, viewpoints and the spectacular Sumapaz Páramo a large páramo ecosystem in the Altiplano Cundiboyacense mountain range considered the largest páramo ecosystem in the world.

This exhibition invited visitors to discover the natural treasures and became a complete visual portfolio and tourist guide for all those who wish to explore the biodiversity, natural wealth of Bogotá and its example of balance between the urban and the natural.

Isabel Muñoz of Invest in Bogotá commented that the organization supports this activation to show the world why Bogotá is a city full of opportunities for entrepreneurs, investors and world - class events with the hope to be able to support all international decision - makers so that they can explore the investment opportunities that the city has, a platform for business expansion and growth.

The Executive President of the Chamber of Commerce of Bogotá, Ovidio Claros Polanco, said that he comes to Cali with the Bogotá jersey to show and represent the city that offers opportunities to residents and visitors, working so that Bogotá is much more because it deserves more.
