Orlando – U.S. | High - Growth in the Accommodation Sector Linked to Theme Parks

 

Orlando, city in the central part of the state of Florida – U.S., the county seat of Orange County, home to more than a dozen theme parks, the fourth most visited city in the United States of America after New York City, Miami and Los Angeles and destination for numerous fairs and events that take place in the city throughout the year in the coming year will enrich not only the theme park segment but also the accommodation sector which is in high – growth.

Universal Orlando Resort, the complex owned by NBCUniversal and operated through Universal Parks & Resorts, the largest property operated by this company and the second largest resort in the Orlando area behind Walt Disney World Resort will add 1500 rooms to the current accommodation availability with the new entries Universal Stella Nova and Universal Terra Luna Resort hotels with openings scheduled for 21st and 25th February 2025 respectively.

Apart this accommodation growth, Visit Orlando's Director of PR Jacklyne Scottmiller mentioned another hospitality sector as food and beverages services because  in recent years Orlando is becoming a destination that also captures food lovers with 48 restaurants included in the Michelin guide, 7 of which are starred, not to mention over 6.000 establishments where you can enjoy as many as 40 international cuisines.

Also of note is the MICE segment with Orlando which boasts one of the largest Convention Centers in the United States of America, the OCCC, Orange County Convention Center a complex located on the south end of International Drive which boasts 650.000 square metres of space, 200,000 square metres of which is exhibit space that with Las Vegas ranks among the ideal destinations for global events.
