Visit Florida, Florida's official tourism marketing corporation, serving as main reference for travel planning for visitors across the world, operating as a non - profit organization with an investment of $5.75 million that has as its primary objective to demonstrate that the destination is open and ready to receive visitors, an initiative that is the largest tourism recovery campaing ever in the state in response to Hurricane Helene and Milton.
The first phase is already in action with an $800,000 paid social media campaign focused on images of more than ten famous locations across Florida including Amelia Island. Islamorada, Panama City Beach and Pensacola, under the theme "The Sun is Shining in Florida" with the goal of showing travellers that much of the state was unaffected by the storms and is open and more than ready to welcome visitors.
The second phase consists in a $3.0 million marketing campaign to be launched soon, will include fully recovered destinations that have been affected, such as Tampa, Naples and Fort Myers and it will highlight the different attractions and activities of Florida, with the goal of offering visitors and locals the opportunity to rediscover the state's attractions.
There is also a third phase will provide direct marketing assistance to counties most affected by the storms, including Manatee, Pinellas and Sarasota, with additional support for rural Dixie, Levy and Taylor counties.
These campaing will be launched when destinations are recovered and ready to welcome visitors again.
