The Cuban Ministry of Tourism confirmed the capacity of the services of the country and it has ratified the will and ability to provide a safe and pleasant experience to all visitors in the Caribbean island.
Sources from the Ministry confirmed that measures are being implemented to guarantee the quality and continuity of tourism services in the face of the country's current energy situation and in addition it ensures that the country is prepared to face the current challenges and ensure that tourism activities develop normally.
The Ministry pointed that relevant destinations such as Cayo Largo, Cayo Santa Maria, Cayo Coco, Cayo Cruz and Cayo Paredón generated their own electricity, independent of the National Electric System.
With regard to hospitality, hotels and non-hotel facilities are equipped with backup generators to ensure a continuous and reliable power supply and energy saving and efficiency practices have been adopted to minimize the impact on operations and tourist experience.
Ministry sources also confirmed that there is a constant communication with the local authorities to coordinate actions to ensure the stability of the services.
