Hilton | Portfolio Expansion in North Africa Signing Nine New Properties in Morocco

 

Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc., American multinational hospitality company based in Tysons - Virginia has announced plans linked to its portfolio expansion in North Africa signing nine new properties in Morocco adding over 1.300 rooms across seven of its global brands.

Among the new hotels, Hilton will introduce the Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, a luxury and upscale brand offering the highest standards of facilities and service in the world's top destinations in the capital Rabat in a partnership with O Tower, company founded in 2016, well known for the construction of the highest tower in Africa, Mohammed VI Tower elevated in the city of Salé bordering the Moroccan capital.

The hotel set to open in 2025 will be part of a mixed - use development that will become the tallest building in Morocco and it will provide 55 rooms and suites, two restaurants, a Spa, an outdoor infinity pool and a fitness studio.

Hilton has also partnered with Yamed Group , provider of real estate services, specializes in investment management, property development, design and construction services based in Casablanca to debut the first LXR Hotels & Resorts property expected to open in 2025 in Casablanca, relevant port city and commercial hub in western Morocco, fronting the Atlantic Ocean, located in city's "Triangle d' Or" as part of the Metropolitan development consisting in a high-end mixed use project.

The hotel will feature 148 rooms, suites, three signature restaurants, a wellness Spa, an outdoor pool and meeting spaces.

The partnership with Yamed Group is also linked to the development of the lifestyle Curio Collection by Hilton properties in Morocco and Hilton will continue its Hilton Hotels & Resorts, Double Tree by Hilton and Hilton Garden Inn brands nationwide, with new properties in Casablanca and Rabat.

Hilton will also introduce its Hampton by Hilton brand with new hotels in Ben Guérir, university and military town that serves as the the capital of Rehamna Ptovince in central Morocco, and Fes, iconic walled city and UNESCO World Heritage Site in northeast Morocco, often referred to as the country's cultural capital.

These hotels which will open in 2025 and 2027, respectively, will offer the brand's signature free, hot breakfast with healthy options.

The Vice President of development, Middle East and Africa at Hilton Carlos Khneisser stated that the new signings are in response to an increase in tourism in Morocco, Hilton has also partnered with Yamed Group to debut the first LXR Hotels & Resorts and Curio Colletion by Hilton properties in Morocco.

These new properties will join Hilton's portfolio in Morocco including 10 existing hotels and four properties under development.
