Hyatt Hotels Corporation, American hospitality company headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, commonly known as Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, group that manages and franchises luxury and business hotels, resorts, and vacation properties boasting a large portfolio with different brands had announced the opening of the First Hyatt Regency hotel in Central America at in Panama city, capital and largest centre of Panama.
This opening is the result of a strategic collaboration with Grupo Desarollo Bahia, company with over 40 years of experience in real estate development that played and plays a pivotal role in shaping the Panama City skyline.
The Hyatt Regency Panama City is not just the first of its kind in Central America, but also the fourth Hyatt branded property in Panama, and it brings to life Hyatt’d global brand strategy by consolidating its presence in the rapidly developing region, a very demanded destination in the international scene as Panama City.
The hotel is located at Calle 52 and Ricardo Arias in the Panama City’s financial district near the Convention Center, just a 10 – minute walk from the bustling urban arteries Via Espana and Avenida Balboa, not far from Bahia de Panama and its port and a 30 minute drive from Tocumen International Airport.

The property offers a variety of fine dining options such as four - on site restaurants, each designed to cater to different needs. Ruffo, the lobby level restaurant, offers international cuisine and transforms into a lively brewery for lunch a dinner, Amado is a modern, trendy coffee shop, serving freshly brewed specialty coffee, teas and bites, while the speakeasy bar Refugio and the wine Belisario are scheduled to open later in 2025.
Other amenities and services of the hotel include 12 meeting rooms designed for collaboration, the Hyatt Regency Broadcast Lounge, a technology - enabled space that streams video feeds of the main event, nearly 25.000 square feet of event space, with s range of venues suitable for business meetings to wedding celebrations.
