Accor | Announced the Signing of a New Handwritten Collection Hotel in Lijang, China

Accor S.A, the largest hospitality group in Europe, French company founded in 1958 in Paris and headquartered in Issy - Les - Moulineaux, boasting a large portfolio across the world, managing hotels, resorts and vacation properties announced the signing of a New Handwritten Collcection hotel in Lijang, China, due to open by the end of 2025.

The hotel is part of Accor’s commitment to expanding its portfolio in Yumnnan Province, a strategic plan to increase the visibility of the group in an important market like China and it set to contribute to Lijang sustainable tourism and eco - conscious development goals.

This strategic operation of expansion by Accor in East Asia was managed in collaboration with Beijng Huaxia Cultural Industry Group Co, Ltd, company engaged in investment, development and operation of cultural performing and the future establishment named Hotel Snow Mountain Lijiang will be located in the prime location of Lijiang, important city in the northwest part of China’s Yunnan province situated in a scenic terrtory highlighted by the more than captivating Yungui Plateau and Oinghai Tibet Plateau.

Lijang is famous for its UNESCO Heritage Site, the iconic Old Town which boasts a stunning mixture of architecture style and a complex, ancient water - supply system, a destination that offers numerous tourist options to discover and enjoy a region well known for its stunning natural beauty offering several opportunities for cultural tourism, eco - tourism, trekking and adventures, attracting several international and national tourists.

The hotel is located near the ancient Shue town, a small village about 3.2 kilometres to the north of Lijang, one of the oldest habitats of Lijiang, and well - preserved centre on the iconic Ancient Tea Route offering spectacular views of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountains, a scenic mountainous massif in Yulong Naxi Autonomous County, well known for a stunning trekking route.

The establishment will be incorporated in the Handwritten Collection, a global portfolio of charming bespoke hotels that offer an intimate and stylish hospitality experience, designed to offer a unique and meaningful stay.and evoke the charm and identity of the destinations, a unique brand of Accor boasting hotels with a custom design that reflects the character and soul of their hosts with personal touches.

The property will feature 100 comfortable rooms and suites, a Chinese restaurant, a rooftop bar offering stunning views of the nearest mountainous, meeting rooms and a fitness centre.

The CEO of Accor Greater China, Gary Rosen, said that the new Handwritten Collection hotel will provide a hospitality experience that showcases Lijiang’s authentic character in every detail, as a geographic gem, Lijiang offers a variety of hospitality options to travellers seeking nature and cultural experiences.

With this future opening in East Asia the Handwritten Collection extends its brand to over 10 countries, with over 20 hotels operational and another 30 in development.
