Malaysia | Tourism Promotion Board Launched 36 Wellness Packages Offering Various Travel Experiences

Tourism Malaysia or Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board, the agency operates under the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture has launched 36 wellness packages, blending health, culture, and nature offering various travel experiences with the aim to diversify its offer, a new initiative very captivating include several attractive proposals.

This special program organized by the Malaysian Tourism in cooperation with wellness resorts, spa, and health care centres and other industry players like travel agencies, tour operators and hotels is an initiative that includes Malay massage, Tai Chi lessons, forest bathing and visits to cultural villages, hot springs,participation to  holistic wellness programs, spa treatments and traditional therapies among others.

This initiative is a strategic plan aims to diversifying the Malaysian tour packages that can be offered to travellers, an innovative and alternative format specifically developed for all those who want to relax and are also interested in trying both the traditional and contemporary modalities available in the country and in addition exploring and discovering the Malaysian culture in all its essence.

Packages offering include wellness ecperiences such s traditional Malay or Urut Melayu massage therapy to which involves soft - tissue manipulation of the whole body, sought for different types of conditions and aliments, partly spiritual on nature, with the practioner exclusively using their fingers and hands, a therapy focuses to relieve muscle tension.

 Tai Chi lessons and sessions are part of a further proposal, an activity also known as Tai Ji Quan, started as a martial art in China, but has evolved into a popular health and wellness practice.

This practice is famed for gentle low - impact mind - body, often desctibed as “meditation in motion” that combines slow, flowing movements, deep breathing, and a meditative tate to promote physical and mental well - being.

Other activities included in the packages are forest bathing while enjoying the urrounding environment, and refreshing hot spring baths and wellness treatments with programs also offer tours to places of interest close to the treatment areas, including villages.

In these localities travellers can experience the traditions oof the local culture such as cuisine, art and artesany as well as discovering some of Malaysia’s more important natural and historical attractions with in addition alternative options for a variety of leisure activities.

 These packages are valid until 31st December of this year and are subject to terms and conditions.
According ro the Malaysian Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, there are currently 365 registered spas operating across the country, and these facilities offer a variety of treatments including hot stone massages, traditional body scrubs, aromatherapy, maternity treatments, hydrotherapy, herbal baths and Ayurvedic therapy.

The most popular tratments and highlighted include Malaysian herbal foot baths, Qi Gong breathing techniques from Chinese community, head massages offered by Indian community, and reflexology treatments to reduce physical tension and balance the health of the body, mind and spirit.
