Fairmont Hotels & Resorts | Launched its First Hotel in Japan in the Newly Developed Tokyo's Blue Front Shibaura Tower South

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, prestigious chain of luxury hotels owned by the French multinational company Accor S.A. headquartered in Issy - les - Moulineaux has launched its first hotel in Japan with the opening of Fairmont Tokyo.

The property is located in the newly developed Blue Front Shibaura Tower South, a mixed - use development in the Shibaura district of the Japanese capital situated between Tokyo Bay and the eastern side of the Yamanote Line train,  an area of a redeveloped land transformed from a maritime hub to a town of high - rise residential apartments, warehouses and offices offering several dining and shopping options.

The location provides access to Haneda Airport in 13 minutes and is six minutes from Tokyo and Shinagawa Stations offering an easy access to the most important attractions of the Japanese metropolis, including Mita Kasuga Shrine, Toyosu Market and Tokyo Imperial Palace.

Blue Front Shibaura Tower South development includes offices, retail and residential spaces, and is part of a larger redevelopment project of the Hamamasucho Building and Fairmont Tokyo occupies floors 35 - 43 of the tower.

 he property boasts a design includes seating areas inspired by traditional Japanese "Engawa", an edging strip of non - tatami - matted flooring in Japanese architecture, usually wood or bamboo and features 217 rooms, including 29 suites, with sizes ranging from 52 to 278 metres. The rooms are located between the 36th and 42nd floors, offering views through floor - to - ceiling windows.

Fairmont Tokyo includes seven dining and drinking venues that offer a range of cuisines, including grilled seafood, sushi, teepanyaki and wood - fired pizzas.

The hotel also features a Fairmont Spa and Health Club on the 35th floor, offering various treatments, sauna, a 20 metres indoor infinity pool and a gym.

The 43rd floor include THE SEA, a large space with an open kitchen concept and THE SKY which provides natural light and panoramic views and for events the establishment offers the Fairmont Grand Ballroom, as well additional meeting spaces.
