The alpine hotel will open its doors in Hirafu, Niseko, a snowy mountain paradise located on Japan’s north island of Hokkaido,  a world class ski town offering the most options for accommodation, restaurants, and nighlife of any ski resort in the country.

The property will offer access to ski slopes, providing year round outdoor activities and Chedi Hospitality plans to introduce seasonal culinary events over the next three winters as part of its pre - opening strategy, blending global cuisine with Japanese hospitality traditions.

The project which marks the brand’s return to Asia, will join the group’s alpine portfolio which includes the Chedi Andermatt located in a village in the Alps in the Ursern Valley in the canton of Uri, Switzerland and an upcoming property in Trojena, a mountain tourism destination under construction in Neom, Tabuk Province in Saudi Arabia.
