Club Med SAS, commonly known as Club Med and previously known as Club Méditerranée SA, a French travel and tourism operator founded in 1950 headquartered in Paris, specializing in all - inclusive holidays is planning to open a 250 - room resort in Manado, in Indonesia’s North Sulawesi province expanding its portfolio in Southeast Asia.
The Club Med Manado will be the all - inclusive brand’s third resort in Indonesia, expected to open in 2028 will join Club Med Bali which opened in 1984, and the Club Med Bintan, which debuted in 1997.
The development is the result of a management agreement between Club Med and Indonesian developer PT Grahatama Kreasi Baru, a pioneer hospitality company in Indonesia, well known for launching various developments across the archipelago.
The resort will sit along the east bay of Sulawesi island, often referred as the “Land of the Smiling People” , well known for its vibrant culture, thrilling adventures and stunning marine life, highlighted by the presence of the majestic Mount Klabat, North Sulawesi’s highest peak and just 70 - minute drive from Sam Ratulangi International Airport.
The property will feature 250 comfortable rooms offering breathtaking, direct views of the Molucca Sea and signature Club Med amenities, including the Kids Club and Amazing Family programs and upscale Exclusive Collection accommodations. The property’s culinary concepts plan to blend local flavours with other cuisines.
