IHG Hotels & Resorts, British multinational hospitality based in Windsor, Berkshire, England, UK, has signed an agreement to open a Vignette Collection property in Ho Chi Min City, commonly known as Saigon, the most populous city in Vietnam, located in the southern part of the country on the western bank of the Saigon River, a metropolis boasts a rich cultural and historical heritage characterized by classic colonial architecture developed by former French rulers,ornate temples, Chinese pagodas, numerous museums and bustling markets.
The hotel developed in partnership with LCK Hospitality Company Limited, a firm based in Ho Chi Min specializes in management and development marks the second Vignette Collection property in Vietnam, following the Moire Hoi An.
The new development will enter in the Vignette Collection, IHG’s first collection brand, a luxury family of hotels where guests can indulge a growing passion for stays are authentic, experiential and special , proudly independent hotels which embody comfort and luxury in a uniquer way. The future hotel in Ho Chi Minh will join a global portfolio of 23 open hotels and 38 in the pipeline.
The property is set to open later this year will feature 52 comfortable rooms, located in the beating heart of Ho Chi Minh , adjacent to antique and art galleries, and close to the Fine Arts Museum, Saigon Notre - Dame Basilica, Saigon Opera House, Independence Palace, Ben Thanh Market, and approximately half an hour’s drive from Tan Son Nhat International Airport.
The expansion of IHG Hotels & Resorts aims to enlarge its presence in key destinations in South East Asia like Vietnam that has shown a high rate of tourism recovery following the pandemic, with significant increases in international arrivals, with several tourists attracted by a wide range of attractions, from bustling cities, historical sites to beautiful beaches, mountainous regions and also a vibrant culture and a delicious cuisine.
Vietnam consolidated itself as a very emergent destination and has experienced a rise in travel demand, with 10.7 million visitors in the first half of 2025, a 21% increase compared to the previous year. Ho Chi Minh City, well known for its historical sites, cultural attractions, markets, and culinary scene, alone attracted 3.8 million international visitors during this period, a 44% increase year - on - year.
IHG Hotels & Resorts currently operates 20 hotels across eight brands in Vietnam, with a pipeline of 22 additional properties. Approximately 60% of its portfolio in the country falls under the Luxury & Lifestyle segment, which includes brands such as Six Senses, Regent, InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Vignette Collection, and Hotel Indigo.
