The 16 - story hotel was originally opened in 1969, in 2014 it was taken over by Conwell Hotels, a hospitality company headquartered in Københoved, Syddanmark, Denmark becoming a popular venue for events such as celebrations and weddings.
Conwell Hvide Hus Aaborg, Dolce by Wyndham is located at Vesterrbro, 2, near Kildenparken, a historic park in the area, 250 metres from Aalborg train station, 10 minutes walk from the city centre, and six kilometres from Aalborg airport (AAL), providing convenient access for travellers.
The property following a renovation incorporated Danish design elements, with furniture and accessories from the Danish brand HAY, a company founded in Copenhagen in 2002 inspired by the glory days of mid - 20th century Scandinavian design.
The recent renovation aligns the property with the Dolce by Wyndham brand known for its focus on group hospitality, featuring state - of - the - art meeting spaces, food and beverage programs, and unique destinations designed to inspire guests, which includes other locations in Aarhus, Copenhagen and Odense.
The hotel features 198 comfortable guestrooms, including suites, standard , and superior rooms, the restaurant Vesterbro, which offers a seasonal menu with local produce, Bar V, an all - day venue with a terrace overlooking Kildenparken,and a fitness centre on the top floor, offering panoramic views of the city.
