IHG Hotels & Resorts, British multinational hospitality company based in Windsor, Berkshire continues its portfolio expansion in South Asia with the future opening of a Holiday Inn Express & Suite hotel in Dhulabari, a centre located within the Jhapa district in eastern Nepal near the Indian border, a bustling commercial hub known for its rich history, cultural experiences, and hospitality, making it a popular destination for travellers.
The development is the result of a management agreement between IHG Hotels & Resorts and Hotel Eastern Nepal Pvt Ltd, marking the second collaboration of the two companies following the earlier launch of Holiday Inn Resort Kathmandu Budhanilkhanta.
The hotel is scheduled to open in 2026 and will be situated in the area of Kakarvitta, a significant territory and a treasure of cultural experiences, blending Nepali and Indian influences, approximately 15 kilometres from the Pathibhara Devi Temple, a relevant pilgrimage site in Eastern Nepal and close to Chandradi Domestic Airport providing convenient access for both domestic and international travellers.
The property located in prime location, offering unparalleled convenience for travellers to explore a land full of attractions will feature 99 comfortable rooms and suites, an all - day dining outlet, including a dining option on the roof top of the hotel, a banquet hall, a fitness centre, and an ample parking.
The hotel aims to cater business travellers, tourists, and local guests, particularly from the region’s commercial and agricultural sectors. With limited brand options in the area, the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Dhulabri is also expected to become a preferred venue for MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions) tourism and social events.
The establishment will enter in the Holiday Inn Express brand which offers a modern, consistent experience for value - oriented travellers, focusing on efficiency, comfort and essential amenities, targeting both business and leisure travellers seeking a high - quality, yet affordable, stay.
