MGallery Collection, a global brand of luxury boutique hotels known for their unique stories, distinctive design and part of Accor S.A. , French multinational hospitality company based in Issy - les - Moulineaux has launched a luxury new resort on Panglao Island in the north Bohol Sea, located in the Central Visayas region of the Visayas island group, in the south - central Philippines, a premier destination in the Southeast Asian country, known for its powdery white sand beaches, crystal - clear waters, and world – class diving spots.
The South Palms Resort & Spa Panglao is located at Anos Fonacier Circunferential Road, 20 minutes from Panglao ferry port which provides regular connections to other Filipino islands, a short distance from the beach of Bohol, 11 km from Hinagdanan Cave and approximately a ten - minute drive from Bohol - Panglao International Airport.
The resort features 188 comfortable rooms and eight beachfront villas, developed with a design that incorporates local materials, including bamboo and coconut wood. Each villa is named after a Filipino nature deity, providing a thematic connection to the local culture.
F&B options at the resort include Tiya’s House, which serves Southeast Asian cuisine, Manja featuring Mediterranean dishes, UMA providing a open - air dining experience with a focus on seafood and tropical fruits and Sirenna Bar which offers cocktails crafted with local sourced ingredients.
The wellness facilities at the South Palms Resort & Spa Panglao include Lola’s Sanctuary, an open air - spa that is set to open in the coming weeks and guests at the resirt can participate in cultural experiences, including tours and evening rituals that showcase local traditions.
The property also offers sunrise yoga sessions, a gym, swimming pool, event spaces like the Acqua Pavilion, which can host up to 50 guests, the Marcela Ballroom with a capacity to host up to 100 guests, and an events lawn is also available for larger gatherings.
The resort supports local community initiatives, including partnerships with two orphanages, Bohol Sunshine Home and Trinity Angels Care Home, providing donations and organizing activities for the children residing in these facilities.
The opening of South Palms Resort & Spa Panglao marks an expansion of Accor S.A. and MGallery Collection’s presence in the Philippines, joining the the existing Admira Hotel Manila located in the capital of the country Manila.
