Nairobi, Kenya | ATIF, the African Tourism and Investment Forum - From 1st to 3rd October 2025

The Kenya Tourism Board (KTB) and the African Tourism Board (ATB) have announced a strategic collaboration to co - host the African Tourism and Investment Forum (ATIF) in Nairobi from 1st to 3rd October 2025 taking place alongside the Magical Kenya Travel Expo (MKTE) at the Uhuru Gardens National Monument and Museum, located along West Langata Road, 15 minutes drive from the city from the city centre.

The event hosted in the Kenyan Capital is set to attract over 6.500 delegates from 40 countries, including 400 exhibitors and 200 interrnational buyers.

Under the agreement, both boards will jointly lead programme coordination, investor engagement, and promotional efforts for ATIF 2025. The partnership aims to promote tourism growth, stimulate investment and foster strategic partnerships across the continent.

ATIF provides the ultimate platform for African destinations to accelerate their economic growth ambitions by promoting and prolifing investment opportunities. 

Built on the principle of a global platform, ATIF seeks to shine a spotlight on secondary and tertiary cities and regions, showcasing them as premier investment and tourism hubs. By positioning these regions for sustainable growth, ATIF helps drive their economic ambitions while providing access to critical capital, networks, and strategic insights on investment in trade -in - services sectors such as tourism and related activities.

The forum comes as Kenya’s tourism sector continues to grow, with a projected contribution of KES 1.2 trillion, about US$9.2 billion to the national economy this year supporting 1.7 million jobs. 

The African country’s tourism sector has shown a strong recovery and significant growth in recent year, with both international and domestic tourism experiencing positive trends and is actively pursuing several strategies to enhance its appeal and sustainability including with actions promoting responsible tourism, leveraging technology and innovation, expanding infrastructure and fostering cultural tourism.

ATB Chairman Cuthbert Ncube and KTB CEO June Chepkemei have affirmed their commitment to delivering a high - impact platform to unlock Africa’s tourism and investment potential.
