Accor S.A. | Announced the Future Opening of a Dual - Branded Mövenpick Hotel and Mövenpick Living Serviced Apartments in Abuja, Nigeria

Accor S.A., French multinational hospitality company based in Issy - les - Moulineaux has announced the future opening of a dual - branded Mövenpick Hotel and Mövenpick Living Serviced Apartments in Abuja, the capital city of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, situated at the geographic midpoint of the country.

Abuja is well known for its iconic landmarks like Aso Rock and Zuma Rock,  as well as the Nigerian National Mosque and National Christian Centre, which highlight the city’s cultural diversity, a wealthy, cosmopolitan city also highlighted by a tropical climate, a large population, and a mix of mid - sized and high - rise buildings.

For the development Accor S.A. has signed a strategic agreement with John Williams Hotels & Resorts, a Nigerian hospitality company and a pioneering force in hotel development committed to delivering exceptional experiences, unparalleled comfort and uncompromising quality based in Abuja and Boulevard Hotel Group, a distinguished hotel development, management, and franchise company with a visionary approach to the African hospitality and headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria. 

Scheduled to open in Q1 2026 the development targeting multinationals, expatriates and business travellers will be situated in Abuja’s Central Business District, a busy area dominated by large corporation offices and the Three Arms Zone, encompassing the Presidential Villa, Supreme Court, the National Assembly, and around 30 minutes from Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport. 

The development will feature 138 hotel rooms and 36 service apartments, introducing Mövenpick Living concept to Nigeria amid rising demand for premium extended - stay accommodation. 

Amenities will include four dining venues, a spa, fitness centre, an outdoor pool, a 665 square metres ballroom, flexible meeting and conference spaces.

The property is positioned for business, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) sector and diplomatic demand.  

The establishments are part of the Swiss brand Mövenpick  part of Accor Group with a focus on “doing ordinary things in an extraordinary way” through joyful hospitality and culinary excellence, with a Swiss heritage emphasizing quality and sustainability.

 Accor S.A., currently operates four hotels in Nigeria across ibis, Novotel and Mövenpick, and has more than 167 properties in Africa, part of a broader expansion in gateway and emerging markets.
