Outbound Hotels, a collection of lifestyle hotels located in nature - focused destinations in the U.S., offering a blend of modern comfort and rustic charm for travellers who want to experience outdoor and local culture, owned by Waterton, a real estate investment based in Chicago, Illinois, has announced the development of two new properties in Yosemite, California and Sedona, Arizona.
The future expansion of the group with the opening of Outbound Yosemite and Outbound Sedona expected to open in the first and second quarters of 2026 respectively and is part of a strategic partnership with CoralTree Hospitality, a leading hospitality group headquartered in Englewood, Colorado, which now manages Outbound’s existing properties.
The partnership with CoralTree Hospitality aims to leverage operational expertise and infrastructure to support Outbound Hotel’s growth and expansion. The based - Coolorado company will provide management services for both new and existing properties, such as The Virginian Lodge in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
The Outbound Yosemite - The property, will be located on a 17 - acre site, approximately 24 kilometres from the South Gate of the iconic Yosemite National Park situated in California’s Sierra Nevada mountains, famed for its giant, ancient sequoia trees, a vasst wilderness area, and for Tunnel View, the emblematic vista of towering Bridalvail Fall and the stunning granite cliffs of El Capitan and Half Dome.
The development will feature 104 cabins and 14 lodge - style rooms, along with amenities such as a pool, hot tub, and over 500 square feet of event space. The design, led by One Union Studio, a design and development collective specializing in hospitality, NYC+CA – based will incorporate elements inspired by Yosemite’s natural landscape.
The Outbound Sedona - The establishment will be located near Uptown Sedona, a centre in Arizona desert near Flagstaff, that’s surrounded by red - rock buttes, steep canyon walls and pine forests, noted for its mild climate, vibrant arts community, New Age shops, spas and art galleries.
The resort design’s, by Gettys Group, an award - winning global hospitality and development firm based in Chicago, Illinois, will reflect the surrounding red rock environment with modern Pueblo - inspired architecture. The property will feature 138 rooms, a spa, and adult - only pool and a restaurant featuring a menu that showcases local ingredients.
Bookings for both Outbound Yosemite and Outbound Sedona will begoin on November 3, 2025.
