Hyatt Hotels Corporation | Announced the Opening of a New First Hyatt Place Hotel in South Korea, Located in Busan

Hyatt Hotels Corporation, American multinational hospitality company based in Chicago, Illinois has announced the opening of a new Hyatt Place hotel in South Korea , marking the debut of the brand in Busan, the country’s second - largest city after Seoul, a vibrant port located on the coast of the southeastern tip of the Korean Peninsula overlooking the Korea Strait on the side facing the Sea of Japan in front of the Japanese island of Tsushima.

Busan is a city known for its beautiful beaches like Haeundae, majestic mountains, historic temples such as Beomeosa, highlighted by bustling markets like Jagalchi Fish Market, hot springs, and rich cultural fusion, serving a major economic hub with Korea’s busiest port and hosting events like the Busan International Film Festival. The city offers a distinct, dynamic atmosphere with towering peaks cutting through its urban landscape, providing diverse experiences from nature walks to lively city life and unique cultural villages like Gauncheon.

The development of the Hyatt Place Yeonsan aims to serves both business and leisure travellers and  adds to Hyatt’s portfolio in South Korea, which now includes six properties under the Hyatt Place brand and joining Park Hyatt Busan as the second Hyatt property in Busan.

The opening of this new establishment is part of Hyatt Hotels Corporation’s broader strategy to expand its presence in South Korea, particularly in cities with growing demand for tourism and business travel.

The property is located at 1121 Jungang - daero, Yeonje - gu in the vibrant Yeonsan district next to Yeonsan Station and major bus lines, with convenient connections to Busan City Hall, Seomyeon , Centrum City and other key business and commercial districts. The area is also filled with local eateries, cultural venues, and lifestyle amenities, providing guests with effortless access to Busan’s everyday charm and local culture.

The hotel’s design, developed in collaboration with RMSJ, a Korean firm known for its work in hospitality interior design incorporates modern Korean aesthetics.

The property features 160 comfortable rooms, each guestroom is equipped with workstations, smart TVs, and high – speed Wi-Fi, a dining area called The Placery, offering a variety of menu options. Amenities at the hotel include a fitness centre, a pool, meeting facilities, free parking and electric vehicle charging.

The new hotel joins the Hyatt Place brand which emphasises a casual atmosphere and practical amenities for the multi - tasking traveller, featuring spacious rooms with distinct zones for sleeping, working and relaxing. The brand combines style, innovation and 24/7 convenience to create a seamless stay with modern comfort.

The hotel offers a promotion for World of Hyatt members, with 500 bonus points available for qualifying stays from January 1. 2026, through March 31, 2026.
