Wilderness Rwanda has announced the official opening of Wilderness Magashi Peninsula, an exclusive new safari retreat which opened its doors to welcome guests to one of Rwanda most compelling landscapes, set on a private peninsula within Akagera National Park, central Africa’s largest protected wetland, located in eastern Rwanda hugging the border with Tanzania.
The property is managed by African Parks in partnership with the Rwanda Development Board and its launch marks a significant milestone in Wilderness’s continued commitment to safeguarding and celebrating Rwanda’s last remaining savannah ecosystem.
Magashi Peninsula ia an intimate luxury camp where the rest of the world seems to disappear.This 5.000 -acres private wilderness overlooking the vast, shimmering Lake Rwanyakazinga features just two suites with plunge pools and a private 4 - bed villa, ensuring privacy with rooms spaced far apart.
Stilted lodge and interiors are inspired by Rwandan heritage, using woods, art (like Imigongo), and motifs.Amenities in the central area include a lounge, dining, bar, pool, gym, yoga deck, and viewing deck for sundowners.
