IHG Hotels & Resorts | Announced the Opening of its First voco Hotel in Thailand, Located in Bangkok

IHG Hotels & Resorts, British multinational hospitality company based in Windsor, Berkshire, England, UK, has announced the opening of its first voco hotel in Thailand, located in Bangkok, the country’s capital and largest city, highlighted by a vibrant mix of ancient and modernity, known for its opulent temples like Wat Arun, Wat Phra Kaew, Wat Pho’s Reclining Buddha, Grand Palace, ornate shrines, juxtaposed with towering skyscrapers, bustling street life, iconic markets and street food, world - class shopping, and a famous nightlife scene.

The new voco Bangkok Surawong by IHG is located at 80 Surawong Road, along a central city’s throughfare close to Thaniya Plaza, Chulalongkorn University, Lumphini Park, Silom district, Sathorn’s corporate hub, Siam’s shopping and several entertainment venues, in an strategic location offering guests a very easy access to the major city's attractions.

The hotel’s design incorporates elements of Brutalism modernism, with architecture by the Thai’s firm A49 and interior design by P49 Deesign, an award - winning hospitality interior design specialist with projects in more than 35 countries and based in Bangkok. 

The property features 244 rooms and suites, designed with sustainability in mind, with pillows and duvet fillings made from recycled materials and bath amenities sourced from Antipodes, a New Zealand brand.

Dining options at voco Bangkok Surawong by IHG include three restaurants and bars, including Tasca Sabio, a Spanish - inspired restaurant offering Mediterranean flavours and small plates and Deckles Smokehouse, an all - day dining venue featuring smoked dishes and craft cocktails.

Additional facilities at the hotel include a lap pool, a 24 - hour fitness centre, an onsen spa, event spaces, including a ballroom with a capacity of 200 guests and four meeting rooms equipped with modern audiovisual technology.

The opening of voco Bangkok Surawong is part of IHG Hotels & Resorts’expansion strategy for the voco brand which launched in 2018, and as of September 2025, voco has 117 open hotels and 108 more in development globally.
