The west wing was previously part of the Hilton Milwaukee, which itself was formerly known as the Marc Plaza Hotel following its acquisition in by Marcus Corporation in 1972. The property was renamed under the Hilton brand in 1995, and the Marc name has now reinstated as the the west wing reopens as a standalone hotel.
